How to Register to Play for Mosman FC

All players who play for Mosman FC must have a valid registration for the MWFA competition.  This means completing ALL the registration requirements, which differ by age group.  Please note that returning players can complete registration by mail, while new players should follow the instructions for each age group.  The club retains absolute discretion on which players play for which teams, but we will try to accomodate reasonable requests to play with friends.

In 2010, the registration fees are now :

 Age Group

Senior / O35 / U21 / U18 $350
Junior (U9 - U16) $200
Sub-Junior (U6 - U8) $180

Senior Student

Dual Registration (Junior Ladies)

$290

$120

Click through the links below for the specific age group information and forms.  All age groups are defined as of 1st January each year - so an U6 child would be born in 2004, be 5 on 1st January, and have a 6th birthday during the year.   If you are unable to afford these registration fees, please send us an email outlining your situation.

  • Sub-Juniors.   Sub-Juniors play in U6 to U8 teams.  These players do not require photo registration cards, but must provide a birth certificate for the club to verify age at first registration.  The games are "non-competitive", so no league tables are kept.
  • Juniors and Junior Ladies.    Registration and the competition format is slightly different for Juniors and Junior Ladies:
    • Juniors play in U9 to U16 teams.  U9 teams play on 3/4 sized fields without competition tables, and teams are grouped by the club and association into stronger & weaker divisions.  U10 and up play on full sized fields in divisions with league tables, and players require photo registration cards, which must be produced at the beginning of each game.  All junior players in age groups U9 and over are required to attend skills assessment in early February.
    • Junior Ladies play in U10 to U16 teams.  U10 teams play on 3/4 sized fields without competition tables, and teams are grouped by the club and association into stronger & weaker divisions.  U11 and up play on full sized fields in divisions with league tables, and players require photo registration cards, which must be produced at the beginning of each game.  Girls can play in the Junior division in the relevant age group and/or have dual registration for a Junior Ladies team. All junior players in age groups U10 and over are required to attend skills assessment in early February.

Check the news section for times of skills assessment and here for more information about the skills assessment process.  We have a Skills Assessment Appeal Process for U9 to U16 players who are unhappy with their team allocation.

  • Senior.   Seniors are divided into all-age, U18, U21, ladies and 035 competitions, but the registration process is the same.  All teams are placed in graded divisions by the MWFA and players require photo registration cards, which must be produced at the beginning of each game.
  • Managers and Coaches.   Managers and Coaches from U10 up will be issued with an MWFA ID card this season.  To receive this card, the following need to be submitted to the MWFA via the VP for your division:

    • Code of Conduct formWrite Date of Birth on this form too
    • For coaches / managers of ALL U6-U18 teams a working with children check, which a legal requirement imposed by the NSW Government.  You should also be aware of Mosman FC child protection policies
